Melissa Malaquias is a loan specialist in Abington Bank’s Cohasset office. Her career in residential lending spans more than 20 years, and over that time she has gained experience as a customer service representative, processor, junior underwriter, closer, and originator. As a loan specialist, she has deep knowledge of each step of the mortgage loan process and can work closely with the team to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible for the homebuyer. She enjoys sharing in the experience of homebuyers’ joy and excitement in purchasing their new home and delights in helping current homeowners reach their financial goals. She believes that being able to make everlasting memories in your own home is priceless!

Melissa is a native to Cape Cod and currently resides on the South Shore with her husband, Wemerson, three boys, and pup, Enzo. She loves spending time with family, attending and volunteering at her son’s sporting events, traveling, kayaking, and hiking.

Evan K. Zalios is a mortgage loan originator based in Abington Bank’s North Franklin Street, Holbrook office. He specializes in helping first-time homebuyers understand and navigate the complex world of home financing in order to achieve the American dream of homeownership. As he often says, there’s no “How to Get a Mortgage” class offered in school, so he enjoys helping customers understand how the home financing process works so he can guide them effectively. Evan prides himself on his ability to take ownership of his customers’ individual needs so that he can recommend the best home loan solution possible.

A 6-year mortgage veteran, Evan joined Abington Bank in 2021 from Beeline Loans, where he was an approval loan guide, and before that he was a senior home advisor with Own Up. Evan attended Boston College High School in Dorchester before earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston.  He is an avid sports fan and ideal trivia teammate, as he prides himself on his knowledge of music, movies, and pop culture.
